OVERVIEW B.Sc Nursing (Basic)

At Moogambigai College of Nursing the undergraduate program is designed to prepare graduates to take on the role of professional, competent nurses and mid wives. Graduates will be equipped to provide promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative services to all who needs nursing care.

The program prepares nurses to make independent decisions in various nursing situations, protect the rights of patients and support both individual and groups in pursuit of health, Graduates will be capable of functioning in Hospital and community health nursing settings, conducting research in nursing practice and taking as roles as teachers, supervisors and managers in clinical or public health settings.

Admission Eligibility

  • Age:
    The candidate should have completed 17 years on or before 31st day of December of the year of admission.
  • Selection:
    Selection of the candidates should be based on the merit in the entrance examination held by University or competent authority.
  • Duration of the Course:
    Duration of the course shall be four completed years including clinical training of 24 weeks.
  • Medium of Instruction:
    English shall be the medium for the course as well as for the examination.
